Join us as we stand in solidarity with the Standing Rock Sioux Nation who is fighting the proposed Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL).
When: Thursday, September 15th- 4:00PM
Where: William S. Moorhead Federal Building, Liberty and Grant St.
Since April the Sioux Nation and other indigenous communities have been blocking the construction of the proposed pipeline, that in essessnce would function similary to the canceled KeystoneXL pipeline, carrying oil from the Alberta Tar Sands to Louisiana and the Gulf of Mexico. Every community along the proposed route is in danger of being poisoned.
Here in Pennsylvania commuities across the Commonwealth are fighting proposed pipelines and other natural gas infrastructure, such as the Mariner East Pipeline. Our struggles are connected.
On Thursday, September 15th let us come together to state that no community should be a sacrifice zone and no community should be collateral damage to government and coorporate greed. Bring signs of solidarity.
We stand together for indigenous rights.
We stand together because water is life.
We stand together because all pipelines leak.
No Mariner East!
